An organized argument or contest of ideas in which the participants discuss a topic from two opposing sides. Those who agree with this statement or idea are the “Pro” side. Those who will not agree with this statement or idea are the “Con” side.
Debating teaches children to analyze, rationalize, put forward comprehensive arguments, and disagree politely. Moreover, as children learn to research, prioritize and write evidence-based arguments they are able to improve their academic performance.

The art of effective oral communication with an audience is an essential part of a learner’s upbringing as it allows learners to form connections, influence decisions and motivate change. Public speaking is a vital skill to have in the working world.

A composition in verse or prose intended to portray life or character or to tell a story usually involving conflicts and emotions through action and dialogue.
This helps build self-confidence, imagination, improve memory, concentration, cooperation and sharpen communication skills. Beyond this, it is a platform that allows learners to express a range of emotions and encourage them to understand and deal with similar feelings they may be experiencing. Aggression and tension are released in a safe, controlled environment – often allowing for a period of reflection afterwards.

Theatre Evening: August/September
Our conventional choir consisting of 4 voice types, mainly the Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass. Singing is very important for learners as it is an inclusive activity whereby all learners are equal and connected. Practicing musical patterns and rhythms helps form neurological pathways, with huge implications for children’s learning.
Those who might struggle with academics or theoretical aspects of learning do not experience pressure as there’s no competition in this space. Instead, this becomes time spent having fun while having a sing-song at school.

Choir Concert: August/September
Chess is one of the oldest and most popular board games. It is played by two opponents on a checkerboard with specially designed pieces of contrasting colours, commonly white and black. The objective of the game is to capture the opponent’s king.
Playing chess helps learners better their lives in and out of the game by providing the following benefits; problem-solving skills, develops perspective, improves memory, deepens focus, elevates creativity, boosts planning skills, increases self-awareness, protects against dementia, helps with ADHD and connects learners with their peers.

A platform for learners by learners to speak about various topics that affect them directly and indirectly. Covering these themes; educational, motivational, career and entertainment. A forum for sharing, laughter, fun and provides a safe environment to try new skills. A creative space for future Radio/TV personalities, producers, script writers, videographers and actors.
